For the 2024 Women’s Twenty20 World Cup, which kicks off on October 3 in the UAE, smart replay systems will be introduced at ICC matches. The technology, which was previously used in Hundred and IPL 2024, is expected to enhance the accuracy of decision-making in the tournament.
According to the ICC, “each game features a minimum of 28 cameras, incorporating a variety of visual analytics. The Decision Review System (DRS) will also be available throughout the tournament, with the Hawk-Eye Smart Replay System enabling the TV umpire to instantly review multi-dimensional synchronized footage for decisions a it is true.
