The BBC on its way to the scene of an Israeli air strike on a Lebanese village

 The BBC has visited the scene of an Israeli air strike that killed nine civilians, such as  kids, a pregnant lady and her unborn child in a village in southern Lebanon.

Correspondent Orla Guerin became told by way of rescue employees, household, and the mayor that every one have been civilians and participants of one extended family.



The village of Shebaa, which is Sunni, is almost on the border with Israel. It isn't a stronghold of Hezbollah, a Shia armed organization, which Israel says changed into the goal of the strike.

Nearly 800 humans were killed in Israeli strikes in Lebanon seeing that Monday, nearby officials say.

The BBC visited the site of an Israeli air strike on a village in southern Lebanon that killed five civilians, including two children, a pregnant woman and her unborn child.

Reporter Orla Guérin, rescue workers, relatives, and the mayor told him that they were all civilians and members of the same large family.

Sheba is a Sunni village almost bordering Israel. It is not a stronghold of the Shiite armed group Hezbollah, which Israel says was the target of the attack.

Local officials say about 800 people have been killed in Israeli attacks in Lebanon since Monday.
